BCA Announces In-Person Spanish Classes for January and February!

BCA is partnering with a local Spanish teacher to bring an exciting in-person conversation program to the residents of our unique borderland community. Rick Gehweiler is a winter resident of Tubac and is certified to teach the curriculum of the Warren Hardy Spanish School of San Miguel Allende, Mexico. Warren Hardy Spanish is an integrated verb-based learning system that focuses on the one hundred most common Spanish verbs and their conjugations. By focusing on verbs and then adding important context, Warren Hardy Spanish teaches you to quickly speak in complete sentences and confidently extend your fluency over time.

Starting in January, 2024, BCA and Warren Hardy Spanish will offer the first two levels of this unique program. Level 1 will be offered in January and Level 2 will be offered in February:

Level 1: Power Verbs

This is the grounding course in the Warren Hardy approach to Spanish. This course focuses on six “Power Verbs” that can be combined with hundreds of other verbs to express needs, wants, abilities, intentions, likes, and dislikes. At the completion of this course, you should be able to communicate basic needs and wants in short sentences and manage straightforward social protocol.

Level 2: Preterite Tense and Object Pronouns

Level 2 teaches the most important tense in Spanish: the Preterite (or simple past), which is used 40% of the time in conversation. After this course you will know every part of a Spanish sentence and how to shorten your speech by using pronouns.

The Warren Hardy Level 1 and 2 classes covers material similar to the Let’s Speak Spanish Intermediate 1 and 2 online courses, but with twice the amount of class time, in-person with a teacher and facilitators.

The fee for each level is $325 for eight classes plus $95 for the home study kit.
